Maryborough
The Victorian Government is investing $115 million to redevelop and expand Maryborough and District Hospital.
The redevelopment includes a mix of new building and refurbishment works, including the construction of a new purpose-built facility to the south of the existing hospital.
After many years of planning, early works are underway and the hospital redevelopment is complete.
A new urgent care centre
32-bed inpatient unit
New maternity unit and birthing suites
Two operating theatres and recovery spaces
Day medical centre with clinical imaging, pharmacy and pathology services
Consultant suites
Reception area, and
More car parking
When complete, staff at Maryborough and District Hospital will have bigger and better facilities to enable staff to treat an additional 4,000 patients every year.
